About Steve Lackie
Steve is an award-winning photographer born and raised in Michigan.
Best known for his cover photos on Sports Afield, Hunt, Northwest Living, Creation Magazines, Gleaner, Pacific Northwest Recorder and photos in the Alaska Magazine, Mile Post, and Petersen’s Hunting. He took first place in the National Wildlife Federation and grand prize in the Alaska Fish and Game photo contest. He started taking pictures at a young age and moved to Alaska in 1975 where he loves spending time in the beautiful outdoors taking pictures.
Steve’s travels have taken him across the U.S.A., Africa, Australia, Belize, Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Fiji, French Polynesia Islands, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, New Caledonia, Omen, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vanuatu.
In addition to his love for photography he enjoys sharing his love for Jesus, serving his church, beekeeping, scuba diving, camping, fishing, and game night with his family.
* Stephen (Steve) Douglas Lackie, age 74 passed away on August 26, 2024 due to a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
